About The Event
You have been called to heroically serve the Church. However, demands of ministry can take you away from the source of your joy and strength – Jesus Christ, leading to weariness and disillusionment. At the Unbound Retreat, the Lord is waiting to renew your heart, soul and ministry. Come and reconnect with the Lord, along with your fellow brother priests and experience renewal, revival and restoration.
WHAT IS UNBOUND?
The Unbound ministry model is the foundational "tool" of a USA based ministry 'Heart of the Father', a small, family based ministry founded in the family's deep Catholic faith but with an ecumenical heart. Heart of the Father Ministries was founded in 1997 by Neal Lozano and his wife Janet. Their son, Matt Lozano, joined the ministry about 15 years ago.
Whilst the Unbound model is widely accepted across the euchumenical world, Neal Lozano and his family are faithful Roman Catholics who adhere strictly to the teaching of the Magisterium, with a deep love for evangelisation. The Lozanos have been teaching and training both clergy and lay people to use this ministry model of healing and freedom for many, many years. Unbound is now a well known and widely accepted ministry model and has helped many, many thousands of people break free from unhealthy patterns of sin, attachments and deception. It is now well established in over 40 countries. Neal Lozano and the Unbound model have the approval and blessing of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops. A recent Unbound Priest Retreat at the "Franciscan University of Steubenville" was attended by over 300 Priests, Deacons and Seminarians.
Unbound helps people find a deeper, inner freedom in Christ through ‘Five Keys’. The Five Keys are: Repentance and Faith, Forgiveness, Renunciation, Authority and Blessing.
The model focuses on listening deeply to a person's story and paying close attention to how that person reacted and responded to events and situations in their lives. During this Retreat, you will learn how to use the “5 Keys” to close doors on sin & evil influences in your own life and also in the lives of those to whom you minister. You will learn how to speak the Father’s blessings & plans into your life and others.
This will be a Teaching Retreat on deliverance, inner healing & living an abundant life in Jesus. So many of us believe that we just have to tolerate the cross in our lives and in day to day struggles, additions and difficulties. Whilst redemptive suffering has an important and worthy place in, and message for the Church today, the Lord does not ask us to just accept suffering unconditionally. Unbound ministry is for everyone.
Have you every struggle with:
* worry, stress or anxiety?
* procrastination, perfectionism or approval-seeking?
* chaos, drama or tolerating overwhelming difficulties?
* shame, guilt, inadequacy or depression?
* feeling hurt or wounded by a situation, person or place?
* feeling you have settled for second best?
* bad habits/patterns or confessing the same sins over & over?
* prolonged grief, anger, sadness, loneliness, bitterness or resentment?
* feeling hopeless or despairing that nothing will ever change?
* addictions or addictive behaviour?
* negative patterns or thoughts?
* stagnation in your spiritual growth or feeling your personal relationship with God is being hindered?
Do you have a longing to:
* tap into the power of the Gospel in a deeper way?
* be better equiped to understand how to help someone else?
* better understand negative influences?
* learn more about healing and deliverance ministry?
If you see yourself or others you minister to, in any of these statements, this Retreat is for you...
YOUR RETREAT
This retreat is exclusively for Catholic Priests, Religious, Seminarians and Deacons. It will offer a detailed view of the Unbound ministry model. You will learn a variety of practical ways that the "Five Keys" of Unbound can be incorporated into the general ministry of Catholic priests, including in the Confessional and in spiritual direction. You will receive in depth teaching on Unbound and also be taught how to minisiter to others using the Unbound model.
The Unbound model is a practical guide to simple, gentle, quiet, non confrontational deliverance prayer for both clergy and lay people to use within their ministries. It does NOT in any way encroach upon the ministry of major exorcism which Unbound clearly teaches is reserved solely for appointed exorcists in the Church.
'Unbound Deliverance Ministry, Training & Events UK', a charity, are facilitating this Retreat on behalf of 'Heart of the Father Ministries' to present five days of engaging talks, practical teaching sessions, with spiritual direction available with Fr Boniface, and plenty of time for fellowship with your brother priests.
Spending time in prayer, together with a focus on the Sacraments, will be an important focus of this Retreat because all other graces proceed from this. In addition to daily Mass, you will have ample time for personal prayer and reflection, including the opportunity for daily adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered daily, as well.
Fr Boniface Hicks, an author and an experienced Retreat Master (see below) for laity, consecrated religious and priests, will serve as one of the retreat's Spiritual Directors and will be at your disposal over the course of the 5 days. In addition, Fr Antonio Rittacio, author and previous Unbound Retreat Director (see below), will serve alongside Fr Boniface as a second spiritual guide over the Retreat.
The Retreat will provide ongoing formation to aid in your priestly ministry. You will have the benefit of hearing from experienced, international Catholic speakers and theologians who will present stimulating, thought provoking talks.
Finally, this Retreat will offer time for growing in priestly brotherhood through shared meals and recreation. Priests who attend past Unbound Priest Retreats often cite this brotherly fellowship as one of the most blessed parts of the Retreat. Grow in solidarity and friendship and form lasting friendships.
